Janene's Nikki
Since Buddy is increasingly depressed except when we are around a bunch of people (or better yet, dogs), or walking - I went online to the Lodi Animal Friends Connection - a shelter that is run by and old art friend Pat Sherman. I started scrolling through the available dogs and one little sweet face seemed to speak to me. So, I went and looked at her with Candis at my side, and we decided it would be a good match. Her name is Nikki and I'm sending a picture. She is very thin. The shelter rescued her from the pound, she had a cherry eye and was bone thin. They had the surgery done to fix the eyelid, and are fattening her up. She's only about a year and a half (guessing) and is much more lively than I'm used to, but I think that will be a good thing for Buddy and for me. They will hold her until I'm ready to take her. She likes other dogs and cats. And is housebroken. Whooppeee! She can travel. Photo and text by Janene.
