Anderson Dam 2006 Overflow

Anderson Dam near Morgan Hill, Santa Clara County, California. Anderson Reservoir seldom fills but with a record number of rainy days, 4002 of the last 45, it has reached capacity. The first photos show the water exploding from the large pipe below the dam. We then look at the two water falls on the opposite side of the base . We then climb up to the top of the dam for views of the spillway and Valley. The water leaving the dam continues down the Coyote Creek, now river. These photos were taken during the second week of April, 2006.
